The Museum of Historical and Classic Cars, Limassol

More than 240 exhibits are showcased at the Cyprus Museum of Historical and Classic Cars. These are unique vintage cars that seem to have arrived in Limassol straight from the screens of old Hollywood movies. Here, every visitor can experience unforgettable impressions and acquaint themselves with original exhibits, spanning over a century of automotive industry history.
The authentic veteran of the collection is the 1886 Benz Motorwagen, the world's first gasoline-powered automobile and the oldest one in Cyprus. You will also find here a 1977 Cadillac presidential car, the Mini car driven by the character Mr. Bean from the popular comedy series, one of Margaret Thatcher's cars, and the helmet of the motorsport legend Ayrton Senna.
The museum was opened in Limassol in 2014, occupying an area of approximately 3000 square meters. The founder of the museum is Dimis Mavropoulos, a former professional race car driver. In 2021, the museum was awarded the Gold Medal at the Cyprus Tourism Awards competition.
